This piece was inspired by works of Piet Mondrian. His emphasis on squares drew my attention thus I tried to convey a similar effect, however with the use of volume. My piece conveys the emotion of peace among the abstraction that can often occur in life. I Even though I use harsh geometric lines and shapes, the quietness belongs in the focal point. If you can picture it, I imagined it to be slowly moving away into a background of a room with a wall of picture frames. There is a light weight tone in the movement of the objects and its abstraction illustrates one's imagination. Our minds travel to unexpected places, and I wanted to show both reality and imagination in a surreal nature.
